We ate at lunchtime and the food was fantastic and reasonably price. Nicely decorated inside and a view over the sea.
I visited with my husband and daughter early Saturday evening. When we ordered I asked if the chef used bottled sweet chilli sauce in the Chicken Chilli Pitta as I've been disappointed in other restaurants where they think it's ok to serve commercially pre-cooked chicken warmed up with bought sweet chilli sauce. The waitress kindly went to ask in the kitchen and returned to tell me that the chef said they make their own sauce. Great, I thought and I ordered the dish. We enjoyed our starters and the main courses arrived. What did I get?Commercially cooked chicken slices (they have a distinctive texture) tossed in commercially prepared peppers & onions (a distinctive flavour) & bottled sweet chilli sauce, (definitely a distinctive flavour) all tossed together and heated.Horrible. The other 2 mains were good however and the service was very good. Would the chef eat this dish?
We had food and drinks here as part of a large group. We ate upstairs, the food was quite pricey for what it was in my opinion. I paid £17 for a teriyaki salmon which was simply just salmon on top of some noodles. However the bar downstairs was excellent. There was a band playing at the back of the bar, it was just our group in there. The bar staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them. Really good fun bar with great prices!
This restaurant was recommended to our family by a friend, and upon reading some reviews on here we were a little dubious. However, as we were staying close by we decided to give it a go.We were met with a smile, welcoming staff at every opportunity. We certainly couldn't fault any member of staff, or the service provided.Food was fine and certainly value for money. We all enjoyed our meals ok, although we couldn't finish due to portion size.We are glad we visited and would call again if in the area.
Called in on a rainy Wednesday, three adults one four year old for the two course for a tenner lunch deal. Couldn’t fault any of it food was delicious I would recommend the salted chilli only problem the starters were so big I couldn’t finish my main! Roast dinner looked delicious and the children’s fish and chips would probably have been enough for an adult! We had ordered buy one get one free bramble cocktails which were beautifully presented and delicious, the barman then offered my daughter a alcohol free cocktail when he saw her asking for a taste which he didn’t charge us for and she was thrilled with her special drink! Staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn’t believe the value for money!! This was our fourth visit and we have never beendisappointed.
I had the best Greek salad I've ever tasted in my life as a starter and my friends went for the duck spring roll, served with red cabbage and a spicy plum sauce - and garlic mushrooms. The mains were
A female waitress noticed it was my Dad's birthday and surprised us all with a big candle in his chocolate cake. I will definitely try here again as there was seven of us and not one complaint.
Another ordered sticky toffee pudding which again was drenched in toffee sauce which was so sickly to eat! To top it off one of the members of staff said "Alright boss?" to one of the men at our table
The Greek salad starter was amazing and nearly a meal in itself, no scrimping on content. Mains of chicken kebab and vegeterian enchillada were excellent in content and presentation. Dessert of rose
For main I had the blue cheese and bacon burger. The burger was delicious but the 'chips' were more like chunky chips which I don't like, had they been described as such on the menu I'd have changed
Chose mixed grill - massive! Just too much. Quite a wait between course but I suppose this is to be expected in a busy restaurant. Pretty good other than the wait.
As if that wasn't enough we had a delicious sticky toffee pudding with sauce. Topped off with a couple of glasses of sauvingnon blanc we really enjoyed our meal. The service was professional, friendly
Two of us ordered sticky toffee pudding (which is also GF) bt unfortunately they'd run out however instead we were provided with homemade chocolate cake covered in the sticky toffee sauce..It was absolutely
