Really nice menu options - both on the Daily Specials and he a la carte.Different dishes on the menu, to those you often often get atother restaurants, which were expertly cooked and served. Not the cheapest place in town -but worth the extra; would have to pay considerably more in any London Restaurant!Food was delicious, service excellent - friendly and professionalatmosphere-it was a very nice experience to dineOysters - thanksKevin & Brian
Kevin and Brian were great with our service and suggestions. Plus the gluten free options were tasty and I was reaction free - yea! Kudos for the atmosphere after a long day traveling the countryside; following the paths of our ancestors. A great way to end the day - THANKS!
Went for lunch with three friends. Food was excellent as was the service. Everything was homemade and delicious. Would highly recommend.
We had Sunday lunch here today and the food was amazing. The duck starter was scrumptious and I'd love the recipe for the sauce the coleslaw was so good itreminded me of my mum's. I had the venison as my main and it was so tender and tasty with a rich gravy and perfect veg and mash potato. My partner had the beef and our son had the turkeyall were great hits as were their garlic mushrooms . It's a lovely restaurant and guy who served us couldn't be nicer . We will definitely be back.... soon
My wife, 2 of our three daughters, our son in law and two of our three grandchildren and myself called in for Sunday lunch recently. We were greeted as usual by Kevin and from then on our visit was nothing short of delicious and delightful. The menu was spread over the entire group with every course and item proving to be a winner. I feel I’m repeating myself but this venue is streets ahead oh any place in the area surrounding our town. Keep doing what you do best folks and I’m sure we will be returning yet again.
My daughter chose the chicken special served on a bed of spicy lentils accompanied by garlic potatoes and it didnt taste at all spicy. We sampled each other's dishes and agreed that the flavours were
We started with the fish cakes and goat cheese appetizers. 3 of us had the Salmon and one had the vegetarian risotto. All of us were completely satisfied. Incredible presentation and a perfect portion.
The food, well, raviolli of rabbit, scallops, cod served with beans, fish cakes, local fillet steaks with buttery champ and onion rings rounded off with Malteser hot toffee meringue. Yummy, and Kevin
The seafood chowder for starter and the malteaser meringue for dessert, my guilty pleasure. Lol. The decor and warmth in this place makes it so welcoming. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful,
I had a creamy chicken pasta dish and it was the best pasta dish I've ever tasted, made with homemade pasta, the battered cod was amazing and very generous portion, as was the curry. Very reasonably priced,
My husband had the chicken satay starter it was piping hot and had 2 sizeable pieces of chicken marinated in a very tasty sauce on a bed of cous cous, he then had the loin of bacon on a bed of mash with
Youngest had the chicken curry from kid's menu which was stupendous. Older brother had salmon which he devoured, eldest and I had the turkey and my better half had the beef, all 3 being possibly the
I had the Seafood Chowder Followed by the Surf and Turf. All i can say is Wow, the chowder was perfect but its the Surf and Turf which impressed, the Fillet Steak has to have been the best Steak i have
Since the Irish summer has not yet delivered, weather-wise, we both choose the butternut squash soup as our starter. The soup was delicious, served with wholesome brown bread and a dish of butter in
We choose a starter of seafood chowder , my husband had sirloin steak to follow while I had naturally smoked haddock. All of the food was truly delicious , service friendly and unobtrusive, and the
We opted just to have main courses with sides and both chose salmon, market veg and garlic potatoes. The tomato and chilli bread was toasted and tasty, and nice when we were not having starters. The
Daughter had the butternut squash soup with wheaten bread and scoffed the lot. For dessert we had the selection of ice creams and a choc brownie. Both were outta this world. We had a look at the dinner
Main course of medallions of beef was succulent and cooked to perfection and the chef was more than accommodating with my dietary requirements and I enjoyed the most delicious chicken curry I've ever
